As we enter into a new year, we set goals and make resolutions. This year, me and a few of my business associates created vision boards. If you haven't used this tool before, I highly recommend it. I have created them in the past and it always astonishes me, when looking back at the end of the year, just how many of my intentions were made manifest by creating a visual guide for my subconscious mind to connect with.

I also believe that the beginning of a new year is a great time to give your financial reports and business plans a thorough review. By doing it right away, you not only get your records in order for tax filing but you are also able to put together a reasonable and strategic plan for the upcoming year.

By reviewing your past year's performance early in the new year, you allow yourself plenty of time for an in depth review. It encourages you to get your documents compiled and organized, allows time to analyze and get back logged data entry caught up, to obtain records that may have gotten lost or misplaced, affords time to compare your beginning of year plans against your actual performance. But most of all, it gets you thinking about your new goals and objectives.
